2025 was another great year for Compliant Training and Services. We added two more states to our territory and hired two new team members. Throughout the year we instructed 46 training sessions, including both the Initial Instructor Training and Agency Master Instructor course. From the participants of those training, we received 331 perfect reviews about our instructors. In total, 93% of participants gave their training experiences all 5's in the post instruction review. Three weeks into 2026 and we have already completed multiple training courses in multiple states. We have already released our availability for AMI courses hosted at our Kentucky training facility on our website and social media, but you can also find them at the end of this newsletter edition.

Our buyback program is officially ready. We will be accepting used devices toward a trade in value for other products and sell the used or unwanted equipment at a lower cost. The value of devices for trade in or resale will be determined by Compliant Technologies. Compliant Technologies cannot accept the former microprocessors (featuring a lightning bolt symbol) as they are trademarked, and Compliant Technologies is not allowed to sell or resell those items. Eligible devices include: G.L.O.V.E., E-Vest, E-Band. Upgrade your agencies equipment while reducing costs and waste. Top of the line equipment without top of the line prices. For agencies with less room in their budget for brand new equipment certified previously owned devices will be on sale priced according to their category.

Devices will be inspected and ranked by condition.

  • Category A: No defects on the device. The device looks new with little to no signs of wear and tear. The device passes the certification testing for functionality. Devices in this category will be valued at $250.00 off the purchase price of a new device.
  • Category B: Minimal defects on the device. The device may have minimal normal wear and tear which does not affect the functionality of the device. The device passes the certification testing. The device may have new parts to regain the functionality of the device. Devices in this category will be valued at $200.00 off the purchase price of a new device.
  • Category C: Noticeable defects on the device. The device may have worn areas on the gloves, pads, device material, or straps, missing labels, etc. The device passes the certification testing. The device may require new or used parts to regain functionality. Devices in this category will be valued at $150.00 off the purchase price of a new device.
  • Category D:

Cannot be re-certified due to multiple or extensive defects affecting the functionality of the device. The device is damaged or wear and tear is to the extent the device doesn’t function properly or could create a safety risk. The device doesn’t pass the certification process even when replacing parts in an attempt to regain proper functionality. Parts of the device which are still functional may be used to refurbish a category B or C device. The value for these device or devices featuring the lightning bolt symbol logo will be valued at $100.00 towards the purchase of a new product.

***Note: If Shells only are returned for trade-in value they will receive half the credit towards a new purchase with each category.

The Importance of Grip Strength When Using the G.L.O.V.E.

Grip strength is a tool in combative scenarios which controls, isolates movement, and improves overall efficacy in high-stress situations, such as using the G.L.O.V.E. to obtain compliance from a combative person. Your ability to maintain stimulation on a moving and aggressive individual is directly impacted by two key factors. First is your ability to remain mobile as the aggressor moves around attempting to break free, and second is your level of strength to “hang on” to the stimulation until you choose to release or change to a different body part to target. Here is an important fact about grip strength you may not have considered. Research suggests that elite combat athletes possess significantly stronger grips, contributing to improved positioning and momentum control.

Another way to improve grip strength, casually, is squeezing a tennis ball, racquetball, or similar objects while seated or even walking. The continuous
squeezing motion through the grip you exert on the ball mimics your G.L.O.V.E. wrapped around an arm, wrist, or elbow. This solo drill can be completed in most environments you find yourself in during the day (sitting at your desk, watching television, etc.). In the Agency Master Instructor (AMI) and Instructor Trainer (IT) courses, participants are simultaneously
learning not only the values of solid defensive tactics for this tool but also developing a greater understanding of what it means to grab and stimulate another person. It’s simple, strong effective grabs enhanced G.L.O.V.E. skills.

There are many traditional exercises for improving grip strength. What makes this form of strength training special is how simple the process can be without extensive amounts of time in a gym or the need for fancy equipment. Gripping tennis balls and/or towels (as if you were ringing
water from the towel in a twisting motion) are easy and effective. In addition, practice a gripping exercise with the G.L.O.V.E.s on your hands. The more practice you achieve grabbing with the tool, the greater your comfort level will become when using it to gain compliance. Remember, gain every tactical advantage you can. Improving grip strength provides a significant benefit when using the G.L.O.V.E. Keep training, keep working towards improving yourself, and practice, practice, practice with this tool.

See us in Tennessee this February. We will be at the Tennessee Sheriff's Association Winter Conference in Murfreesboro, February 4th. Our Tennessee & Alabama rep, Brad Simpson, will be there with our CD3 product line. Volunteer for a demo or stop by for more information.

Agency Master Instructor Course Dates

The initial Instructor Certification that all CD3 users are required to complete teaches the ins-and-outs of the G.L.O.V.E device. This course will teach students how to use the device to it's fullest potential with defensive tactics that were specially developed to be coupled with the G.L.O.V.E. While use of force is something we aim to mitigate with these devices, it is still something officers must be prepared to use in some circumstances to maintain safety and peace. By certifying an Agency Master Instructor, department's will have their own leader who will be able to teach these advanced tactics to their fellow end user certified officers. Having a certified AMI will allow departments to train and educate their staff on their own time.
